Happy Fall! We are finishing up some topics this week with a science test on Thursday and the Topic 3 math test on Friday. Thanks Tram Luu for organizing a Fall party this Friday. Hope that some of you can stop by and enjoy the fun. Also a big thanks to Mrs. Antunes for her wonderful art lessons every Monday. The students are enjoying them tremendously! Thanks for attending Goal Setting Conferences. I am excited about helping your children achieve their goals this year. Our story of the week is Tomas and the Library Lady. Above, in the “pages” section, click onto the Houghton Mifflin page. On this page you will find a summary of each story in our reading series, an About the Author, page, eWord game for vocabulary, and grammar activities.
Some important reminders..
1. Wheel begins this Wednesday so students should wear tennis shoes

I have attached another copy in the FYI section on the website. Also, you will find a copy of this week’s newsletter as well. All students received their usernames and passwords to all their online textbooks and Google Docs accounts. Please have your child go onto each website and check to see that they can access it. All the websites can be reached on my website in the “Online Textbook” section.

Welcome to 4th Grade!

Hi Class,
I am so excited to have you this year in 4th grade. It is hard to believe that summer is over and we are about to start a new year. I am looking forward to hearing about your summer activities and what you want to learn about this year. School begins on Monday, August 25th at 8:00 a.m. sharp! Come with a smile on your face and a readiness to learn. Enjoy the rest of your weekend:)

Please bring the following items on the first day of school…
1. A fictional novel that your haven’t read- should be approximately 175-200 pages and at your child’s independent reading level. We will use this for an “in class” reading project.
2. Baby or toddler picture- Please bring it in an envelope and don’t show it to anyone-This will be used for a writing assignment in which students will try to guess who their classmates are.

3. 1 pack of dividers for homework binder labeled the following: homework;projects;reading;math;science
4. Crayons, markers, pencils(what you like to use for coloring/art)
5. Pencils/Not mechanical

9. Whiteboard, whiteboard marker and eraser
10. 5 spiral notebooks with lined paper
11. 1 pack of 5 sturdy pocket folders with binding brads… For projects throughout the year
